Waiver & Release

I understand and agree that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress reduction, and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with all physical activity, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I am fully aware of the inherent risks involved with this physical activity and I hereby agree to hold harmless and irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against The Refuge, LLC — Online Community Yoga Studio (“The Refuge”) or any instructors working with The Refuge. I represent that I am in appropriate physical and mental condition to participate in the classes I attend. I also give permission for any photos taken during any in-person classes to be used in promotional material.

I also understand that I am responsible for creating a safe practice space by:

• Using appropriate equipment in good condition.
• Ensuring sufficient space to move safely.
• Removing hazards from my practice area.
• Supervising children and pets to avoid distractions or accidents.

I understand that online classes may be recorded for educational purposes and used for the On-Demand Library and to allow registered participants to view the class later.

By participating with my camera or microphone enabled, I acknowledge that my image, voice, display name, or comments may be captured in the recording.

I grant The Refuge permission to record and use these recordings for:

• Providing class replays to registered participants.
• Instructor education and quality improvement.
• Future educational or promotional purposes, unless otherwise stated.
• Collection of classes for the On-Demand Library.

If I prefer not to appear in recordings, I understand that I may:

• Keep my camera turned off.
• Mute my microphone except when speaking.
• Rename my display name if desired.

By registering for and participating in online classes, I acknowledge that:

• I have read and understand this agreement.
• I voluntarily agree to its terms.
• I waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
• I consent to the recording provisions described above.
